MCE Audio electronic devices is an italian lab set in Florence, Italy, owned by Marco Casavola.
The lab is open to many works, national and international.

We got into collaboration thanks to a friend of mine who suggested me this lab. I was seeking for a good mod for my Blues Driver, but I wanted a custom mod based on my needs and taste, and Marco has been very professional from the start.

BLUES DRIVER - MCE GERMANIUM MOD (notes from MCE)

This modification replaces the stock (silicon) clipping diodes
with germanium diodes (along with other components
in the signal path), in order to achive more "tube like" distortion.
The germanium diodes give a nice clipping leaving the nature
of the pedal pure. The tone is warmer, dynamic and rich of sustain!

ELECTRIC MISTRESS - MCE V2 76 MOD (notes from MCE)

The main purpose of this mod is to decrease the Mistress tone and volume sucking.
I've reached the objective by replacing some key components in the signal path, making the circuit more similar to the '76 Mistress. One of the main feature of this mode, which is not included in the standard '76 mod, is the Op-Amp swap. I've replaced the stock Op Amp with a Jfet Input Op-Amp. This reduces the loading of the guitar's pickup from the pedal's input. (single coils pickup are very sensitive to loading). This greatly reduces the loss of signal when the pedal is both in bypass and on.

MCE B-SCREAMER

The B-Screamer is a pedal that you definetely should check out. The pedal is a TS808 type with some cool upgrades like low noise chip, Wima condensers and Audio Grade components. Very useful and nice sounding pedal with wonderful attack and warm tone. Also a good clean boost. A great deal for Gilmour and Pink Floyd sound.

MCE MC1 COMPRESSOR
​
The right word for this pedal is DYNAMIC.
The MC-1 is a compressor based on the MXR Dynacomp, completely handmade. It sounds more powerful and silent than the MXR, and more clear and bright (as the script version). Very useful for Gilmour tones with its very accentuated and creamy attack. It really changes the clipping depending on how you play the note.
